Established in 1996 as a truly home-grown South African Collectible, the quirky ‘Dlamini family have found their way into homes all around the world. They stand proud on a home mantel piece, display shelf or side board and collectors regularly add to the collection or buy more to give them away to friends and family. So much so that The Dlamini’s have become iconic in South Africa, especially in their home province of KwaZulu-Natal.
What makes them so special, is that every Dlamini is individually hand-made and Raku-fired with random glaze effects. No two can ever be the same. They make great gifts, especially since you can custom order a sculptured clay ‘thought’ on top of his or her head. Almost anything is possible: a trumpet, a sports car, radio, birthday cake, running shoes, handbag… The Dlamini figurines are glazed in a variety of colours. They come securely packaged in a transport-ready box.
